Dr. Gail Majcher is a fully licensed psychologist and marriage counselor who has been in private practice for more than 20 years. Dr Gail is a cohost of "Sunday Sessions" on WJR (760am) www.wjr.com. It is a lively psychological show with compelling topics to improve everyday life. Dr. Gail is an expert in communication training with individuals, couples and groups. Throughout the years, couples counseling has been a large part of Dr. Gail's practice. Although she specializes in a diversity of issues such as anxiety and depression, it is the topic of domestic violence that tugs most at her heart.
In fact, Dr. Gail was a victim of domestic violence herself. Today she has a successful life, a good marriage and her two children have become well-respected adults with loving spouses. She wants victims of domestic violence to know that there is hope for them — if she could turn her life around so can other women. Her self-help book, A Worthy Woman, is a valuable resource not only for victims of domestic violence, but for anyone who wants to gain understanding about this important issue.
Dr. Majcher is a noted public speaker. Her presentations are interesting and educational, accented by humor. Topics include:
Effective Communication Through Personality Theory
The Many Faces of Personality Disorders
Corporate "Team" Training
Couples Communication Seminars
Self Esteem Workshops
In addition, Dr. Majcher has worked with several prominent attorneys by providing counseling, psychological testing and testimony for clients. As the chief administrator for a well-known adoption agency, she was instrumental in restructuring the format for open adoption in Michigan.
